Hideling: a daily 3D hide-and-seek

Every day a new island full of animals, and a few of them are up to something. Spot them faster than everyone else, then hide one for a friend. It takes a few minutes a day.

How to play

Check the list. At the top you see who to find, by what they wear: a yellow beanie, or a red cap with a bow tie.
Look around. Drag to turn the island, pinch or scroll to zoom. The animals walk, swim and hide behind things.
Tap the one you think it is. A wrong tap adds 3 seconds.
Stuck? Take a hint. Tap an item on the list. The first hint shows the area (+10 seconds), the second a smaller area (+20), the third makes the animal jump (+30).

Every day

Each puzzle has three parts:

The set. Find every animal that wears the same thing, for example 4 blue caps. Nobody else on the island wears it that day.
Three stowaways. One easy, one medium, one hard. The harder ones wear a combination of things, and the hardest often picks a sneaky spot.
The golden secret. A bonus for sharp eyes.

Hide one for a friend

You can also hide an animal yourself. Pick a disguise, walk for 30 seconds to a good spot and send the link. Your friend gets the same island and has to find you. When they do, they can send you their time.

The name you pick goes into the link only. We don't store it.

A new island every day

The puzzle changes at midnight, your local time, and everyone plays the same island that day. The islands take turns, each with its own weather and light. At the end of each puzzle you see which island is next.

Your score

Your time includes the extra seconds for wrong taps and hints. Only your first try of the day counts. At the end you see how you did, for example: "Faster than 72% of players today." Share your result as a picture or as text, and see if your friends can beat it.

In the ranking you see the top 10 of the day and of the month. Every finished puzzle earns 50 points, plus up to 50 for speed, so playing every day counts most. Pick a nickname if you want to appear by name.

Is Hideling free?: Yes. No account and no download: it runs in your browser.
Does it work on my phone?: Yes, on phones, tablets and computers with an up-to-date browser. The island is 3D, so the first load takes a few seconds.
Can I play a day I missed?: Not yet. Each island is open on its own day.
What do you do with my data?: We count plays anonymously to make the game better. No account and no tracking cookies. More on the privacy page.
Who is Hideling for?: Adults and teens, 13 and up, who like a daily puzzle. Everything on the islands is family-friendly.
